After leaving Asheville, we headed to Gainesville, Georgia to see my mother and sister.  Mother now is living in Oakwood at a memory care facility there.  She had been with us for over 2 and a half years, and left to be with Nancy in January 2018.  It is the first we have seen her new place, and it looks great.  She seems happy, so I was so glad to see that!!  We stayed at a campground in Cleveland, Georgia, and it was not one of our favorites.  I do think the weather had something to do with it, but it was a very cold and wet place.  We had to stay there because parks around Lake Lanier did not have sewer and with a washer and someone who takes 2 showers a day that seems to be a necessity.

After another doctor visit for me, we decided to head home a day early.  We stayed in Clinton, Mississippi, and headed back to Dallas.

We had a great trip, but it is always good to be home!!  During this trip we stopped or drove through 8 states:

Texas
Arkansas
Tennessee
North Carolina
Georgia
Alabama
Mississippi
Louisiana

I believe this has been the most states on one of our trips!!
