We headed to Fredericksburg and Austin.  We stayed at our favorite RV park in Fredericksburg, Quiet Creek.  They have the best water pressure we have experienced.  We love it.  While in Fredericksburg, we went to a Food and Fun Festival and we also went to the Highwaymen Concert.  We weren't thrilled with the concert, but loved the Food and Fun Festival!!  We loved getting away and enjoying our time away.

In Austin we got to tour the capitol which was our very first time although we have lived in Texas for 33 years.  It was a wonderful tour and we enjoyed every minute.  We also explored the Texas Cemetery where many famous Texans are buried.  We learned that sometimes there is a stone but the person is really not buried there. It is called a cenotaph.

Great visit.  Fall is definitely coming!!

September 2017

We took our new motorhome to Branson.  It was a wonderful experience. We had never been to Branson before.  On our way we camped at a park in Fayetteville.  It was a wonderful experience, and while we were in Fayetteville, we enjoyed seeing the campus and the football field at the University of Arkansas.  We also went to Bentonville where Walmart was begun.  We went to the Walmart Museum and saw how Sam Walton began his story!!

In Branson, we went to rally that was sponsored by IRV2.  It was a very nice rally, and while we were visiting, we went on a tour and show on the Branson Belle.  We met our friends Tricia and Gary McFarland and played bridge.  We went to the College of the Ozarks, where we had a wonderful lunch served by one of the working members of the student body.  We also had the opportunity to see the play Moses.  It was a wonderful play.  We definitely would love to come to Branson again.

Our new motorhome had to be indoctrinated into the camping world.  For our first night, we went to Lake Lavon and took all our possessions from our old motorhome and moved them into the new motorhome.  After checking it out at Lake Lavon, we moved it to Lake Grapevine.  We had to see what worked and what didn't work in our new motorhome.  Most things worked well.  It will take some getting used to, but it is a wonderful upgrade to our camping experience.

We bought a new motorhome!!  We just purchased a Journey by Winnebago.  It has a washer and dryer and a bath and a half.  That was our goal!!  What an exciting time!!

June 22-24, 2017

We took our motorhome to Grapevine, Vineyards RV park.  It is a lovely park, and we decided to enjoy the weekend while I was working on learning about Embroidery!!  I had planned to go to the Appliqué Getaway and I am so glad that I went.  I learned so much and we had a great time at the motorhome park!!

Galveston

May 12-19, 2017

Tom and I headed to Galveston for a week get-away.  We love going to the beach.  We had a great time visiting the city and the beach.  We always stay at a wonderful park, Dellanera RV Park.  It is right on the beach.

While we were there, we went to the Grand Theater and saw Arlo Guthrie.  It was a great concert.  We couldn't believe how many people our age were there.  Arlo put on a terrific concert.  What a great opportunity to see and hear music we remembered!

April 2017

We went to a Motorhome Rally the end of April, sponsored by National Indoor.  It was held at WinStar Casino.  We had a great time meeting other people with motorhomes, and the people in charge really showed us a good time.  We were treated to a spa appointments, dinners and lots of fun. We enjoy getting to know other people and hearing about there adventures.  We are always amazed at how many people live in their motorhomes full time.

Vivienne is here, precious, and we are permitted to begin traveling again!!

We have a wonderful new grand baby.  She is beautiful and we are delighted!!

After our meeting and helping with Vivienne, we are back on the road!!  We left Garland on April 5 and began our trek to Fredericksburg.  It was such a wonderful time of exploring and fun!!  Fredericksburg was one of our favorite places to visit.  We had a great time.  Each day we tried something new,  We went to Luckenbach on Sunday.  There were musicians singing and people visiting.  It was a relaxed and fun time!!  One day we went to the loop for bluebonnets called Willow City Loop.  It was wonderful to see the real beautiful nature in area!!  The terrain is different and beautiful!!  We toured some breweries, Perdernales and Fredericksburg brewing.  It was good food, and we enjoyed learning about craft beer.  We drove to Kerrville one day, and we loved the little town.  It was a relaxing and enjoyable visit.
